On the afternoon of this Saturday (24), Corinthians officially presented right-back Pedro Milans as a reinforcement for the 2026 season. The player gave a press conference at CT Dr. Joaquim Grava, alongside president Osmar Stabile and football executive Marcelo Paz. The Uruguayan spoke about his physical condition and revealed a conversation with Dorival Júnior. He also praised the level of Brazilian football.

“There are some things I’ve seen here, in the Brazilian Championship we have a lot of games and that really encourages the growth of football. Yes, I feel very good. It’s been a week and a few days that I’ve been training hard, so I feel very prepared to start playing.”, Milans began at the press conference.

“My first contact with the coach was a conversation during a training session. He told me that I needed a few days to get physically ready. Actually, more than anything, my contribution is with my game, which is a bit more offensive, going forward and, obviously, defensively, I also fulfill the role of scoring goals.”, he continued.

Following the interview, the right-back revealed that he was surprised by the technical quality of Timão’s players and the facilities he found at CT Joaquim Grava. The Uruguayan made a point of mentioning three players in particular.

“Without a doubt, the [CT] complex here surprised me in a good way. It’s a top-level complex. Nothing is missing, really. This makes the pace higher, the players grow a lot and, as I said, that was what convinced me the most to raise my football level.”, said Pedro Milans.

“Honestly, many players have a very good level. Well, but especially Memphis, Rodrigo Garro, Breno, I don’t know, there are many, really”, added the new number 20 of Corinthians.

Officially announced last Wednesday, Pedro Milans signed a three-season contract with Timão, valid until December 2029. The Uruguayan will wear the number 20 shirt and arrives to compete for the position with Matheuzinho in the black-and-white squad.

The right-back had been a free agent since the beginning of the year, after failing to reach an agreement to renew with Peñarol, the club he played for over the last four seasons. In 2025, Milans played in 42 matches and contributed two assists.

Revealed by Juventud de Las Piedras, the player fit the profile sought by the Corinthians board, which has prioritized signing players who are free agents or on loan. At Parque São Jorge, he increases the options for the right-back position, a sector that until now only had Matheuzinho and the young João Vitor Jacaré.

Now officially registered, Pedro Milans awaits the opportunity to make his debut for Corinthians. His first appearance could happen as soon as this Sunday, when Timão faces Velo Clube at 8:30 pm at the Benitão stadium in Rio Claro, for the fifth round of the Campeonato Paulista.
