The 2025/2026 season is approaching its final stages, and FC Barcelona are already preparing for an important summer ahead. The Catalans are only waiting to mathematically secure the La Liga title before accelerating their plans for the next season, with several key decisions still needing to be made.

Among the most important matters on the table are the futures of Robert Lewandowski and Hansi Flick, both of whom are represented by Israeli agent Pini Zahavi.

In this regard, Mundo Deportivo reports that Zahavi arrived in Barcelona yesterday from Milan and is expected to remain in the city for the next few days as he works on both situations.

The main purpose of his visit is to finalize Flick’s renewal with Barcelona. There is already a full agreement in place between all parties for the German coach to extend his contract until 2028, with an additional optional year also included under certain agreed conditions.

However, Flick himself reportedly asked the club and his agent to delay the official signing until Barcelona are mathematically confirmed as La Liga champions. That could happen this weekend if the Catalan giants avoid defeat against Real Madrid in El Clasico.

Meanwhile, there are still significant doubts surrounding Lewandowski’s future at the club. The Polish striker’s current contract expires on June 30, and although Barcelona have already presented him with a one-year renewal offer, no final decision has been made yet.

The veteran forward’s priority remains staying at Barcelona, but several important aspects still need to be clarified before he commits his future. One of the biggest factors is his role under Flick next season.

Lewandowski reportedly understands that he can no longer maintain the same salary levels and is also open to accepting a secondary role within the squad. However, he wants complete clarity about his importance in the team before making a final decision.

At the same time, the striker continues to attract strong interest from abroad. Zahavi reportedly received approaches from both Juventus and AC Milan during his recent stay in Italy, while clubs from Saudi Arabia also remain attentive to the situation.

In addition, Chicago Fire FC are still interested in the veteran striker after previous contacts with his entourage in recent months.

Ultimately, the final decision will rest with Lewandowski himself, but if he wants to continue at Barcelona, significant compromises will likely be required from both a financial and sporting perspective. For now, Zahavi’s visit could prove decisive for the futures of both Flick and Lewandowski at the Catalan club.
