Goalscorer, Thijs Dallinga, spoke after the game: “I’m happy I’m back to scoring, for myself as well as for the team. It wasn’t an easy game, but it was important to break the deadlock early. We all know that our strength is the group and we always have each other’s backs.”

Vincenzo Italiano had this to say after victory in Reggio Emilia: “After Thursday’s game, I was really pleased with the first half. We took an early lead and had several chances to make it 2-0. Sassuolo came back stronger in the second half with a tactical change, but we defended well and secured three important points. We’ll head to Rome in high spirits. It’s a shame about the injuries, but we’ll evaluate them over the next few days.”

Nicolò Cambiaghi, MVP of the game, shared his thoughts: “It’s a really important win for us. I share this MVP award with the whole team, but especially with Thijs, who scored a fantastic goal. As for Roma, until today our focus was entirely on Sassuolo, and from tomorrow we’ll start thinking about that game. It’s naturally a key match for us, especially considering our European campaign. The national team? Honestly, I’m concentrating day by day on myself and my journey with Bologna.”

Martin Vitík also spoke after the game: “Today’s win was really important. When you play so regularly, it’s not always easy to be at your best, but we have a team with a strong mentality. We always support one another, and the way we dealt with the situation with Lukasz showed that.”
