The majority of the BVB fans who came to watch the training session were members of the BVB Miami Fan Club, but fans from Germany were also present. The thermometer readings didn’t climb as high as they had in the past few days, as the cloud cover meant it wasn’t quite so hot. Nevertheless, the Borussians (minus Carney Chukwuemeka who is unwell) were still sweating from the session which lasted around an hour.
After the warm-up, coach Nico Kovac had prepared a drill with a strong element of fun: his players passed the ball to one another with their hands until they reached the goal, and then had to score with a header. In the following drill, the Borussians were using their feet again, before finishing off with shooting practice.
At the end of the session, the fans who were watching had the opportunity to get autographs and selfies with their favourite players. Finally, the experience was captured with a big group photo of the fans and players.
On Monday, the BVB first team will complete their final training session in Miami before heading to Atlanta for the round of sixteen game.
