PSG are facing an anxious build-up to Saturday’s Champions League final against Arsenal, with Achraf Hakimi a major doubt for the showpiece in Budapest.
Luis Enrique’s side arrive as French champions and holders of Europe’s greatest prize, but their preparations have been clouded by fitness concerns over two influential players. Hakimi, such a dynamic force from right-back, is not expected to be ready to start at the Puskas Arena after almost a month out with a thigh injury.

The Morocco international has been sidelined since the Champions League semi-final first leg against Bayern Munich. According to L’Equipe, he is not expected back in full training until Wednesday, leaving PSG with precious little time to assess whether he can play any meaningful role against Arsenal.
This final carries the sense of a grand collision between two of Europe’s strongest sides. Arsenal, newly crowned Premier League champions after ending a 22-year wait for the title, will travel with conviction, energy and belief.
For PSG, Hakimi’s possible absence matters hugely. His recovery pace, attacking thrust and Champions League experience have all been central to Enrique’s system. Without him fully fit, Arsenal may sense opportunity down that flank, particularly in a final likely to be shaped by margins, transitions and individual battles.
PSG staged an internal friendly with 20-minute halves, yet Hakimi was unable to take part. That detail will concern supporters hoping for a late recovery.
Ousmane Dembele is also being monitored after being withdrawn during PSG’s recent defeat to Paris FC. The forward is thought to be more optimistic about his chances of starting, and Tuesday’s training session could offer a clearer picture.

Dembele’s pace and unpredictability would give PSG vital width and threat against an Arsenal side built on structure, pressing and defensive authority.
PSG still possess elite quality across the pitch, but finals test squad depth, nerve and timing. Arsenal will know that any weakness in Enrique’s line-up could prove decisive.
For PSG, the wait over Hakimi and Dembele now becomes part of the drama before Europe’s biggest night.
