PSG ready to trigger Alexia Putellas' release clause | OneFootball

Paris Saint-Germain are looking to sign Barcelona captain and two-time Ballon d'Or winner Alexia Putellas according to reports.

There are still two days left in the women's transfer market in France, meaning that the Parisian club are looking to make a statement signing.

According to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, PSG are willing to pay Putellas' release clause and have a four-year-contract on the table for the three-time Champions League winner.

The 31-year-old is said to prefer to stay in Catalonia but a move to Paris Saint-Germain would see her earn more than her current two-year deal with the club that expires at the end of the current season.

Putellas has faced PSG six times on a player but has a surprisingly poor record, her Barcelona team have won just one of those six ties against the French side, losing three and drawing twice.

Last season, the midfielder played 39 times for Barcelona, scoring 22 goals and assisting 16 more.
