At the other end, the Eredivisie side have conceded an incredible 16 goals. Its safe to say their Champions League campaign is pretty much done and dusted now.
PSV shock Liverpool at Anfield
PSV on the other hand romped to a 4-1 victory away at Anfield. The side have jumped up to 15th place in the Champions League table as a result of an unbeaten run that started after they lost to Union St Gilloise in their opening game. Feyenoord’s woes continue
After such a great start to the Eredivisie season, Feyenoord are starting to fall apart somewhat. The side lost 3-1 at home to Celtic to make it just one win in their last five, with four defeats. Feyenoord have only one once in the Europa League so far and will want to turn things around quickly to make sure the gap to qualification for the next round doesn’t continue to grow.
Go Ahead Eagles humbled by Stuttgart
Go Ahead Eagles had been hoping to repeat their success against Aston Villa when they faced Stuttgart in the Europa League. However, a brace from Jamie Leweling was a sucker punch as the Bundesliga side ran out 4-0 winners away from home. Go Ahead Eagles have performed well so far in the competition but will want to bounce back next time out against Lyon to keep their hopes of progressing alive.
Utrecht edged out by Real Betis
Utrecht lost narrowly in Spain to Real Betis. The Eredivisie side were 2-0 down after 50 minutes in Sevilla but a goal from Miguel Rodriguez gave them some hope. However, in the end, Real Betis were the deserved winners having dominated possession and chances on the night. Utrecht are still searching for their first win in the Europa League this season.
AZ eventually overcome Shelbourne
AZ left it late to be just the second Eredivisie side to win in Europe this week. After a goalless openign 70 minutes at home to Shelbourne, Mees de Wit finally gave the home side the advantage. AZ dominated both chances and possession and finally took complete control of the game in the 86th minute when Isak Steiner Jensen scored their second. The victory means that AZ are now in the top 24 places in the Europa Conference League.
