The R's suffered a dramatic 3-2 defeat to Wrexham on Saturday, which damaged the West London club's top-six credentials but bolstered the Welsh side's promotion hopes.

Meanwhile, Julien Stephan's men have utilised the transfer window by signing Ronnie Edwards and Justin Obikwu from Southampton and Coventry City, respectively.

QPR have also facilitated the loan exits of Elijah Dixon-Bonner, Murphy Cooper, Alfie Lloyd, Emmerson Sutton, and Liam Morrison.

As the transfer window enters its last week, Football League World provide a round-up of all the latest happenings in the market at Loftus Road.

QPR set to suffer Anthony Patterson blow

QPR had eyed a move for Sunderland goalkeeper Anthony Patterson thanks to Stephan's desire to strengthen his ranks in the transfer market.

The 25-year-old maintained 14 clean sheets in the Championship for the Black Cats last season, helping them clinch promotion to the Premier League.

Patterson has become surplus to requirements at the Stadium of Light this term, though, with Regis Le Bris favouring the services of summer addition Robin Roefs.

Therefore, QPR could have landed the goalkeeper on a loan deal that would have handed him game time in West London.

However, talkSPORT's Alex Crook revealed via X on Sunday that Championship rivals Millwall are now in advanced talks over a loan swoop for Patterson.

R's starlet Sutton was recalled from his loan spell with National League club Morecambe, and subsequently deployed to League Two strugglers Harrogate Town last week.

The Yorkshire club are bottom of the fourth tier following Saturday's 3-0 home defeat at the hands of Gillingham, while the man on loan from QPR featured as a substitute.

Despite his side's comprehensive defeat, Town boss Simon Weaver praised Sutton for his positive contributions, telling the Harrogate Advertiser: "Emmerson had a good effect, didn’t he? He came on and really did well.

"He backed himself on the ball, and I think that you could see that there is a freedom of spirit with him. He wanted to get on the front foot, even if he was inside his own half, and he had that extra touch sometimes that showed that he is confident, and his mind is clear."

Sam Field's lack of game time continues amid transfer interest

Sam Field has endured a lack of game time with QPR in the Championship this term, making just 17 appearances and nine starts in the second tier.

FLW have exclusively revealed that Field is poised to leave Loftus Road by transfer deadline day, and has attracted interest from several second-tier rivals and MLS outfits.

The former West Brom midfielder suffered another lack of game time on Saturday, featuring for just eight minutes as the R's were beaten by Wrexham.

Field has not started for QPR since their 3-0 win over Sheffield Wednesday on 4 January, meaning that he is likely to push even harder for an exit.
