Rafael Leão trained at Corinthians’ CT Dr. Joaquim Grava during a short stay in Brazil.
According to Meu Timao, the Portugal and Milan forward received a number 10 shirt from football executive Marcelo Paz, as shown in a club video. The footage also captured him speaking with Jesse Lingard and head coach Fernando Diniz.
Having played at the World Cup, Leão has not yet reported back to Milan for pre-season and will join up on 29. He used Corinthians’ facilities and training kit to maintain fitness.
“The structure is top. They made me feel at ease, everyone there,” he told PodPah. He also shared images from an ice bath session and from a run on the pitch, both in Corinthians training gear.
“I liked Corinthians a lot, the people were great with me, the facilities were very good. I told Milan as well to avoid any friction. Corinthians, thank you very much, we never know the future.”
He is under contract at Milan until June 2028, yet has recently suggested he wants to start a new chapter after seven seasons. He is assessing options with a preference for the Premier League or Spain, though, so far, only Fenerbahçe and Galatasaray from Türkiye have made formal approaches.
