Rangers were interested in bringing Tottenham Hotspur attacker Mikey Moore on loan to Ibrox again, according to Spurs insider Alasdair Gold.

The 18-year-old impressed in the Scottish Premiership with the Bears last term, weighing in with seven goals and four assists in 47 games.

Moore was a key player under former Rangers manager Danny Rohl and new Light Blues boss Derek McInnes could do with his services.

However, Spurs do not want the teenage sensation to return to Ibrox as they want him to have a new experience elsewhere.

The Tottenham academy graduate is not short of suitors, with newly-promoted Premier League clubs also keen on signing him on loan for the new season.

Moore prefers to join Bundesliga club FC Koln if he leaves England, and talks are advanced over a move to Germany.

However, nothing has been agreed yet and other suitors will keep monitoring the situation.

Rangers are out of the race and will have to look elsewhere as McInnes is desperate to further bolster his attacking ranks.

The Gers started the new season with a disappointing 1-1 draw at Dundee United on Friday night.

They return to action on Thursday when they visit Poland to take on Jagiellonia Bialystok in the first-leg of their Europa League third-qualifying round tie.

Rangers host Hibernian in their first home league game of 2026-27 on Sunday and will be desperate to pick up all three points.

The Bears want to sign Frosinone attacker Fares Ghedjemis but face competition from Celtic.

They have added Dan Neil, Ivan Pandur, Ben Godfrey, Lawrence Shankland, Ross McCrorie, Cammy Devlin, Vanja Dragojevic and Olwethu Makhanya to their ranks so far this summer and are planning on more signings.
