Anders Højlund stated that the attacker is “crazy about Napoli,” praising the team, the fans, and the city itself. He emphasized the strong support system surrounding the ambitious player: “We have always been by his side and supported him from the first moment. He is a loving and very ambitious boy.”

Højlund’s father also shed light on the origins of the striker’s intense drive, recalling a pivotal moment from his son’s childhood that set his sights on the elite level of football, citing one of the sport’s greatest names as his primary motivation:

“I remember as if it were yesterday the first time he told me about his desire to become a footballer. I was sitting with him and looking at a Cristiano Ronaldo poster in his room. At that point, he turns to me and tells me: ‘I want to be good like Cristiano!’ All that was left for me was to tell him how hard he would have to start training, and us with him.”
