Rayo Vallecano star set for €25m Premier League switch | OneFootball

A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga outfit Rayo Vallecano is on the verge of taking his talents to the Premier League on a permanent basis.

This comes amid the understanding that Nobel Mendy is all set to put pen to paper on terms with Hull City.

Hull, fresh off securing a return to the top-flight of English football courtesy of the Championship playoffs, have been on the hunt for reinforcements at the back throughout the summer to date.

Fresh off something of a breakout campaign on the books of the aforementioned Rayo in 2025/26, the aforementioned Mendy, in turn, recently saw his name circled in red by the Tigers.

The Senegalese, in his debut season in Spain’s capital, racked up 24 La Liga appearances, chipping in with a pair of goals and largely impressing from his berth at the heart of Rayo’s defence.

And this, as alluded to above, looks set to represent Mendy’s solitary year at Vallecas. As per a report from transfer market journalist Matteo Moretto:

‘Hull City are one step away from signing Nobel Mendy for 20 million plus 5 in bonuses. The negotiation between the English club and Rayo is close to being finalized.’
