RB Leipzig officially confirm Rocco Reitz signing | OneFootball

After reports emerged on Sunday that RB Leipzig and Borussia Mönchengladbach had agreed a deal for Rocco Reitz, the transfer is now official.

RB Leipzig confirmed that the 23-year-old central midfielder will join Red Bull Arena at the end of the season on a contract running until 2031.

According to Sky Germany, Leipzig will pay a guaranteed €20 million, with an additional €3 million in performance-related bonuses.

“Rocco Reitz was at the top of our wish ist for a new central midfielder. As such, we're delighted that the transfer has now been completed and that our efforts have paid off. "We have been able to sign an extremely versatile player, who will take up a central role as the connector between our defence and attack and will help strengthen our team. In addition to many of the typical RBL metrics, such as sprints, intensive runs, ground covered and speed, in which Rocco ranks among the top players in the league, he also reads the game well and is able to assert his control over it, in addition to having the right mindset, and, despite his young age, strong leadership skills.
