RCD Mallorca have stepped up their move for Gudelj after his Sevilla departure earlier in the window. The Serbian free agent is prioritising a destination close to Andalucía as he weighs his options.

According to Radio MARCA Málaga, Mallorca have improved Málaga CF’s proposal for the former Sevilla captain. Málaga were seen as leading, but the island club view him as central to a promotion push and promise a prominent role, while Málaga try to entice him with the chance to keep playing in Primera.

The decision remains open. Finances could matter, though they are not his priority. Mallorca would offer two years and a higher package than Málaga, yet Gudelj places strong value on living near Seville after seven years there.

Interest stretches beyond Spain, with several foreign clubs monitoring his situation. Cádiz are also in the frame as the player considers which project best fits his priorities.

Gudelj left Sevilla this summer after seven seasons, making 261 appearances and winning two Europa Leagues. Before arriving in Spain, he played in the Netherlands for NAC Breda, AZ and Ajax, in China with Tianjin TEDA and Guangzhou Evergrande, and for Sporting in Portugal.
