A number of Real Madrid young prospects were given an opportunity with the first-team squad last season when Alvaro Arbeloa was made the manager in January.
While Thiago Pitarch was the biggest beneficiary, two other youngsters who were regularly involved in the first-team dynamics during the second half of the campaign were Manuel Angel and Cesar Palacios.
Now, according to AS, newly-promoted La Liga club Deportivo La Coruna are plotting a summer raid for both Manuel Angel and Palacios in a bid to reinforce their midfield.
At 22, Manuel Angel is regarded as one of the standout talents to emerge from La Fabrica in recent years.

His performances with Castilla earned him opportunities under the first-team setup, where he accumulated 95 minutes across four La Liga appearances and featured twice in the Champions League.
He played against Celta Vigo, Real Betis, Mallorca and Elche in La Liga, making his first start in the top flight against Mallorca in April. In Europe, he came off the bench in both legs against Manchester City and was also included in the squad for the clash with Benfica.
With his development progressing steadily, the midfielder is expected to seek regular top-flight football this summer. As such, a potential move to Deportivo is viewed positively by those close to the player.

The 21-year-old, son of former Numancia and Osasuna midfielder Cesar Palacios, was one of Castilla’s key figures this season and also earned first-team opportunities.
He made five appearances in La Liga, one in the Copa del Rey and featured in the Champions League against Benfica.
Like Manuel Angel, Palacios is expected to pursue a move away from Real Madrid in search of regular senior football, although both players have attracted interest from several La Liga clubs.
As they reshape the squad for life back in La Liga, Deportivo see Real Madrid’s academy as a valuable source of young talent, with Manuel Angel and Palacios emerging as two names high on their list.
