Real Madrid’s astonishing income from shirt sponsorships

A recent report from AS has highlighted that Real Madrid make a staggering total of €300 million per annum just from their three main shirt sponsors.

This makes the Real Madrid jersey by far the most expensive in the world, with no other club even hitting the €250 million per annum mark.

The three deals driving that figure are Fly Emirates, Adidas and HP, all of which have been recently renewed or extended.

Fly Emirates renewed this week until 2031, becoming the longest-running shirt sponsorship in La Liga history. Real Madrid will now receive €100 million per season from the airline, up from the previous €70 million arrangement.

Adidas extended their partnership until 2034, bringing in approximately €120 million per season.

The relationship between the two parties stretches back to 1980, with Real Madrid having worn no other kit brand since 1998. This is a partnership of over 35 years that shows no signs of slowing down.

HP complete the trio as sleeve sponsor, generating around €80 million annually. The arrangement carries its own historic significance, with HP becoming the first brand ever to appear on the sleeve of a Real Madrid jersey in the club’s 124-year history.

Manchester City’s shirt is considered the second most valuable in world football at approximately €220 million, followed by Barcelona at around €200 million.
