In a major update, Fabrizio Romano reports that Real Madrid are now in advanced talks to sign Bernardo Silva, who is also a target for arch-rivals FC Barcelona and Atletico Madrid.
The Merengues have already sent a formal offer for the former Manchester City captain and are pushing to close the deal at the earliest.
Real Madrid had been previously offered the chance to sign Silva by Jorge Mendes, but had turned down the opportunity.

However, things have changed with Jose Mourinho returning to the club as manager. The Portuguese tactician has made his compatriot a top priority for the summer and is urging the club to close his transfer.
Mourinho values Silva for his experience, versatility, and leadership, and is therefore keen on having him in his team at Real Madrid.
As such, Los Blancos are pushing very hard to land the 31-year-old veteran midfielder on a free transfer, with Romano hinting that a ‘Here we go’ might be just around the corner.

In fact, an alternate report from AS suggests that Silva is set to reject both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid in order to sign for Real Madrid
The 31-year-old versatile star has seemingly been convinced by Mourinho and is now eager to join the project at the Santiago Bernabeu, leading to him turning down a move to the Blaugrana as well as Atleti.
There is confidence at Real Madrid about closing the signing of the veteran star, who would become the club’s second free-transfer acquisition of the summer after Ibrahima Konate.
