Thursday’s media covers in Spain are all about Aurelien Tchouameni as the player has reportedly completed an agreement with the club to extend his contract until 2031.
The Frenchman, after all, has been linked with a departure from Real Madrid for several weeks now and was said to be one of the chosen candidates whose departure would generate necessary funds.
Jose Mourinho, however, pushed for him to stay and the player wanted nothing less, making the renewal operation easier than expected.
The official paperwork, however, is expected to be delayed as Tchouameni is currently participating in the FIFA World Cup.
While Tchouameni has been a regular starter in Didier Deschamps’ plans, injuries have halted him from participating in two of France’s five games so far.

The player played against Senegal, Norway and Sweden, but missed France’s clash against Iraq in the group stage and against Paraguay in their most recent game due to muscular discomfort.
As reported by L’Equipe, however, the player’s recovery has gone well and the player has rejoined group training as of yesterday. Needless to say, that comes as a big boost to France’s plans just ahead of their quarterfinal tie against Morocco.
France’s game against Morocco later today will be a difficult one, especially given the quality the African side possesses in midfield and attack.
On that front, Deschamps will hand Tchouameni the start only if he sees the player to be fit enough to handle the physical extremes the game will demand.

Speaking to the media yesterday, France coach Deschamps did not give anything away on the Real Madrid star’s chances of starting in the quarterfinal and remained cautious even with the fitness update.
“Aurelien is better, but I left early this morning. He’s the only one who needs to be seen, but he’s doing better. He might participate in the training session today,” he said.
Needless to say, a final call will be made based on the player’s sensations in Thursday’s training session and what the manager makes of his fitness.
At this point, nothing is guaranteed but it is clear that Tchouameni will give his everything to be on the field from the opening minute on the night.
