A member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid has moved to reveal his gratitude to his teammates.

This comes after developments in Los Blancos’ latest outing.

Real Madrid of course marked their return to action on Saturday evening, making the trip to Anoeta for a La Liga meeting with Real Sociedad.

When all was said and done in the clash, Xabi Alonso’s troops kept alive their flawless start to the new campaign, courtesy of a 2-1 triumph.

Late in the first-half, though, the visitors’ three points were thrown into serious doubt.

As much came after Dean Huijsen was shown a straight red card, for what was deemed last-man challenge in his own half.

The widespread consensus is that the decision was a harsh one, with Huijsen having looked bemused as he made his way from the field of play.

In turn, it should come as little surprise to hear of the 20-year-old having been altogether relieved post-match.

Taking to his official Instagram account in the aftermath of the matchup in San Sebastian, Huijsen wrote:
