Real Madrid continue to work behind the scenes as planning for next season progresses.
While discussions about potential coaches are ongoing, should Alvaro Arbeloa not continue beyond this term, Los Blancos are also focusing on strengthening the midfield.
After all it has become clear that the midfield department has lacked organisation and control on the pitch since the departures of Toni Kroos and Luka Modric, and the club intend to address it this summer.
As has already been confirmed, one of the names high on Real Madrid’s wishlist for the role happens to be PSG midfield superstar Vitinha.
Now, according to Cadena SER, Vitinha is highly rated by Real Madrid, who are waiting for a gesture from the Portuguese international before opening initial talks with PSG over a move.
As per the report, Vitinha has a private exit option included in his latest contract with the reigning champions of France and Europe, something that Real Madrid have become aware of.

The operation would cost approximately €100 million if it were to be pursued, and Real Madrid are waiting for the player to make a gesture in the coming months before initiating a first approach.
It must be Vitinha who informs PSG that there is a club interested in making an offer for him and that he agrees with that proposal. If this does not happen, there would be no possibility of moving forward, despite the existence of the option for him to secure an exit.
So, Real Madrid are waiting to see if there is any sign from the player and his entourage before making an initial approach to secure his services in the summer.
One of the best midfielders in Europe currently, Vitinha was a key part of PSG’s successful last season, and even finished third in the 2025 Ballon d’Or rankings.
As things stand, though, a move to Real Madrid is seen as difficult.
