Real Sociedad extend academy reach to Orkoien with Kirol Sport collaboration | OneFootball

Real Sociedad are extending their academy reach to Orkoien through a new collaboration with local side Kirol Sport, strengthening the talent pipeline to Zubieta. According to Diario Vasco, the agreement broadens the club’s daily working network.

Zubieta remains the operation’s hub, built on a widely admired methodology that many attempt to copy with limited success. Next season both the men’s and women’s first teams will compete in Spain’s top tiers, underlining the model’s impact.

Orkoien is 5 km from Pamplona and has a little over 4,000 residents. Kirol Sport joined as a collaborator last week.

The Navarrese club views the link as a chance to accelerate sporting and educational growth over the coming seasons, adding resources and opportunities for its players and coaches.

Although not a fully convened partner, the collaboration covers knowledge and methodology exchange, ongoing coach and player development, and support in identifying and projecting young talent, encouraging all-round development at Kirol Sport.

With this tie-up, Real Sociedad’s network now surpasses 90 partner clubs. Most are based in Gipuzkoa, and the search for emerging talent continues.
