Real Sociedad’s player ratings against Alessio Lisci’s Osasuna saw Gonçalo Guedes named best on the pitch, with Beñat Turrientes also earning top marks.

According to Diario Vasco, Álex Remiro celebrated his 300th appearance with two crucial palms, stopping Rosier in the third minute and later Oroz, and he punched clear a Muñoz missile.

Igor Zubeldia excelled stepping out to Oroz, as Matarazzo asked, and won a one-v-one with Budimir in the 65th minute. Duje Caleta-Car dominated with five clearances and eight recoveries. Sergio Gómez steadied after an early warning.

Carlos Soler operated first as an eight then as a four, opening play to Barrenetxea and creating the space for the 2-0 by dragging Rosier. Turrientes thrilled, driving past Moi, Muñoz and Boyomo to tee up Guedes, and thrashed a 15th-minute effort.

Brais Méndez improved off-ball work, burst to meet a 15th-minute centre to Oyarzabal, slipped a nutmeg and made two clearances.

On the right, Ander Barrenetxea whipped a first-time cross for Oyarzabal in the 25th minute and drew a foot save after Soler’s pass. Guedes struck twice, one from the edge and another left-footed, and he won the penalty.

From the bench, Luka Sucic was beaten for the 3-1 yet kept the ball well and shot from range, while Pablo Marín added legs on the right. Orri Óskarsson raced through but was spent as he shot across goal. Yangel Herrera left in tears after injury and Wesley Ribeiro’s home bow was tidy.
