Real Sociedad reveal La Cartuja fan zone for Copa del Rey final, opening at 11:00 | OneFootball

Real Sociedad have outlined plans for their txuri-urdin fan zone in Seville on Saturday 18 April, the day of the Copa del Rey final with Atlético de Madrid. The site, near La Cartuja, opens at 11:00 and will remain open until one hour after the match, even with extra time or penalties.

According to AS, the marquee will be on avenida Carlos III and is one point four kilometres from the stadium. Entry is free, with capacity controlled.

There will be music, comedy, children’s activities, food and drink, plus charging points, fans must bring their own chargers. Payments will be cashless by card or electronic devices. Reusable Real-branded cups and local touches like rebujitos and montaditos are planned, with shaded areas for the heat.

Club information points will run in the fan zone and beside La Cartuja’s ticket office. Stadium gates open at 18:00. A kalejira from the fan zone is being considered from 18:30 with a txaranga, the walk is about 20 minutes, in procession it could be 30.

Supporters are urged to be patient and to take water. Inside the ground there will be a mosaic, and fans are asked to hold up their cards until kick-off to create a strong Real image.

Programming is for all ages. Txuri urdin will appear on stage with DJ sets at times, a big screen will show the match for those without tickets, and updates will run via the club website, app and WhatsApp.
