Eintracht Frankfurt and REWE Markt GmbH are set to build on their long-standing collaboration.
The partnership between Eintracht Frankfurt and REWE, which was first established in 2009, has been extended until 2029. The grocery retailer will therefore remain the Eagles’ first-team partner, with the new deal cementing the company’s visibility in and around Deutsche Bank Park and on Eintracht’s digital platforms. Axel Hellmann, CEO of Eintracht Frankfurt Fußball AG: “This partnership, which will have lasted 20 years by the end of this new contract, is of great importance to Eintracht Frankfurt. Continuity like this breeds reliability and lays the foundation for the partnership’s strategic development. Alongside REWE, we’re achieving exactly that: we’re not only extending our partnership but expanding it in targeted ways in key areas – from visibility at Deutsche Bank Park and activations at home matches to digital campaigns. There’s also the strong regional presence of the two brands, which offers a wide range of opportunities to reach out to fans and customers alike. We’re therefore delighted to continue our successful long-term partnership with REWE with fresh impetus.”
Henning Opper, chairman of the REWE Region Mitte management board: “Through our involvement with Eintracht Frankfurt, we remain firmly committed to the region. The Eagles are just as big a part of Hesse as REWE. A large number of our customers and staff are passionate Eintracht fans. We’re glad about the successes that the team have achieved on the pitch in recent years, and cheer on even when things aren’t going so well. We’re also proud of the projects and initiatives we’ve undertaken together, some of which have taken place in REWE supermarkets.”
