Rob Edwards gives Wolves update as Johnstone out of Leeds trip and late call on Doherty | OneFootball

Rob Edwards has delivered a Wolves fitness update before Saturday’s Premier League trip to Elland Road. According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Sam Johnstone will miss the Leeds United match, while a late decision will be taken on Matt Doherty.

Yerson Mosquera is also unavailable, the centre-back serving a two-match ban after collecting his 10th booking of the season in last weekend’s 4-0 defeat at West Ham.

Johnstone sustained a shoulder injury and Doherty suffered a knock, and neither featured in the squad for last Friday night’s game at West Ham.

Elsewhere, young Paraguayan winger Enso González has not played for the first team this season. His under-21s run ended in February when he suffered a meniscus injury that required surgery and was thought to mean around two months out.

Edwards had expressed hope that Doherty would be back to face the Whites.
