Erling Haaland might have given Manchester City an early lead at Brentford with his latest goal but it's not all good news for Pep Guardiola.

Just after the 20 minute mark, the injury curse struck Rodri once again as he went to the ground signalling he needed to come off.

The 2024 Ballon d'Or winner looked absolutely crestfallen as he hobbled off to be replaced by Nico González, and his pain was shared by Guardiola and the travelling fans.

Rodri has struggled for consistent game time since his return from his ACL injury with knocks and niggles slowing him down.

City will hope it's nothing more serious than that but it's becoming increasingly concerning that the 29-year-old might never get back to the supreme levels he was once at.
