With the domestic season over, Midlands clubs are moving on summer business. Wolves are in talks for Kieran Trippier, Tottenham are linked with Rodrigo Gomes, Albion await Josh Maja’s call, and Villa eye Waldemar Anton.

Sky Sports in Germany say Villa and Manchester United have enquired about centre back Waldemar Anton. The Germany international joined Borussia Dortmund from Stuttgart two seasons ago and has made more than 80 appearances.

Wolves are continuing talks with Kieran Trippier after his Newcastle United exit. The right back is out of contract. They hope to persuade him, although he has other offers in the Premier League and Saudi Arabia.

Tottenham have been linked with Wolves winger Rodrigo Gomes. Rob Edwards has said he wants to keep him next season, and the winger finished with five goals in 27 games despite two months out.

Fer Lopez rejoined Celta Vigo on loan after a difficult start at Wolves and found form, and while Celta want to keep him, Wolves plan to bring him back for pre-season.

Albion have tabled two deals to out-of-contract players, with attention on striker Josh Maja after links to Rangers and Celtic. James Morrison is a big admirer and is believed to be keen to keep him.
