AC Milan will get their first January signing over the line shortly as a deal has been fully agreed for Kyle Walker, according to reports.
It is a deal that has been in the pipeline for over a week now and at times it crawled towards a conclusion, but in the end there will be the desired handshakes as the operation has been finalised.
Fabrizio Romano confirms that Milan have agreed deal to sign Walker from City, giving it his famous ‘here we go!’ stamp. It will be a loan move with an option to buy that is ‘not mandatory’, and the salary covered by the Rossoneri.
His travel and medical are being planned, with the Manchester City captain ready for a new chapter after over seven years with Pep Guardiola’s side and 18 major honours won, which is a huge amount.
According to the what has been added by Matteo Moretto and Di Marzio, there will be no loan fee involved and the buy-out option has been set at €5m. A deal until 2027 is ready for the 34-year-old, should it become permanent.
Now the question mark turns to when he will make his debut, with the league game against Parma on Sunday perhaps a bit too soon. Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League or even the derby against Inter seem more realistic possibilities.
