Romelu Lukaku snubs Saudi & MLS bids ahead of guaranteed Napoli exit | OneFootball

Romelu Lukaku is on course to leave Napoli this summer as he looks for another European club.

According to an update by Nicolo Schira, Napoli forward Romelu Lukaku has turned down several offers from Saudi Arabian outfits and the MLS for a prolonged stay in European football. 

The Belgian striker will ‘100%’ leave Napoli in the coming days after joining the Partenopei in August of 2024 for a reported €30 million transfer fee from Premier League side Chelsea. Before this move, he underwent a loss of form with the London-based side and spent two loan spells in Serie A, with his former club Inter Milan and then at Roma. 

Napoli confirmed that Lukaku has not joined their pre-season training camp, and this was a clear indication that the club has moved on from him. 

He featured in six World Cup games for Belgium in the Americas, scoring thrice and assisting once, as they bowed out of the tournament in a 2-1 defeat to Spain in the quarter-finals.
