Rudi Garcia to leave Belgium head coach role at end of July | OneFootball

Rudi Garcia will depart as Belgium head coach at the end of July as his contract expires, following the team’s 2026 World Cup campaign.

In a statement on Monday, the Belgian federation announced the imminent end of their collaboration, with his deal running to 31 July. The statement added that Garcia believes he leaves Belgium in Nations League A and among the eight best teams in the world.

Appointed in 2025, he preserved the Red Devils’ place in Nations League A by beating Ukraine in a play-off.

At the 2026 World Cup he took Belgium to the last eight, where they lost 1-2 to Spain, who went on to lift the trophy.

Garcia, 62, oversaw 20 matches and lost only two, his first and his last in charge.
