Matteo Ruggeri is among the names linked with Roma ahead of the summer transfer window.

The ex-Atalanta fullback is reportedly being considered as one of Roma’s reinforcements for next season.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma held exploratory talks with the player’s entourage a few weeks ago.\

Now, with Atletico Madrid intent on securing Grimaldo as their next signing, Ruggeri could be further pushed to the margins of Simeone’s squad.

As a result, Roma have once again come forward and offered the player the opportunity to reunite with Gian Piero Gasperini.

Ruggeri is said to be considering his options.
