Sam Alker signs first professional deal at Leeds United until 2028 | OneFootball

Sam Alker, an England youth international attacking midfielder, has signed his first professional contract with Leeds United. The club said in a statement that the 17-year-old has agreed a two-year deal running to 2028.

Alker progressed from the under-18s to the under-21s late last season, earning three outings after a strong campaign with the younger age group.

He made his under-21s debut for Scott Gardner’s side away at Sunderland, then struck a brace on his first start in the final match of the season against Leicester City.

The midfielder is capped by England at youth level and made his under-16 debut against Italy in 2024.

Last term he featured 20 times for Rob Etherington’s under-18s and will continue his development at Thorp Arch within the academy setup.
