Santos bring back Cuca as head coach after Vojvoda sacking | OneFootball

Santos have reappointed Cuca as head coach only hours after sacking Juan Pablo Vojvoda, with Neymar currently playing for the club.

The club said in a statement that Alexi Stival, known as Cuca, has signed a deal until the end of the year and will arrive with assistant Cuquinha and fitness coach Omar Feitosa.

The 62-year-old returns to the club south of São Paulo, having previously led Santos in 2008, 2018 and 2020-2021.

Vojvoda was dismissed earlier on Thursday after results were deemed insufficient, despite securing survival last season.

Santos sit 16th in the Brazilian top flight, only one point above the relegation zone. Neymar returned to the club in early 2025.
