Santos draw Remo in Copa do Brasil last 16, first leg at home | OneFootball

Santos will face Remo in the Copa do Brasil last 16, hosting the first leg before the tie is decided in Belém.

The draw for the bracket and home rights was held on Tuesday 26 at CBF headquarters in Rio de Janeiro. According to Diario Do Peixe, first legs are slated for 1 or 2 August, with returns on 5 or 8 August. If Santos progress, they will receive a further R$ 4 million.

The other ties are Fluminense v Vasco, Corinthians v Internacional, Grêmio v Mirassol, Vitória v Athletico-PR, Juventude v Atlético-MG, Chapecoense v Cruzeiro and Palmeiras v Fortaleza.

Cuca’s side entered the competition in the fifth phase and earned R$ 2 million for participation. They then met Coritiba, drawing 0-0 at Vila Belmiro in the first leg. The return brought a 2-0 win, with goals from Bontempo and Adonis Frías, adding R$ 3 million in prize money.

The quarter-finals are pencilled in for 26 or 27 August, with second legs on 2 or 3 September.

The semi-finals are set for 1 and 8 November, and the final is scheduled for 6 December. Santos have won the competition once, in 2010 with Neymar.
