Santos extend Miguelito contract until May 2029 | OneFootball

Santos have extended Miguelito's contract to 31 May 2029, the Bolivian signing the deal online on Thursday 11. According to Diario Do Peixe, it is registered on the CBF's BID and updated on the FPF website.

Talks had stalled for months before club and camp reached agreement. A revised offer matched his sporting project and recognition, along with finances. An earlier proposal had been viewed as short, particularly for career projection.

The club shifted stance after his final games before the pause, and the matter was settled quickly. He is on holiday from Santos but played for Bolivia in friendlies, defeats to Scotland and Algeria earlier this month.

This season he has 20 games, one goal and three assists. In the Paulistão he featured in eight of nine and set up a goal against Velo Clube.

In the Brasileirão he has eight outings, scoring against Vitória and assisting Gabigol against Grêmio and Vitória. He has also played once in the Copa do Brasil and three times in the Sudamericana.

Of last year's loanees he was the only player recalled to CT Rei Pelé. He spent last season at América-MG, with five assists and seven goals in 25 Série B matches.
