Santos rest Ecuador travellers as Neymar trains for Mirassol | OneFootball

According to Diario Do Peixe, Santos split their preparations on Friday for Sunday’s 18:30 Brasília kick-off against Mirassol, with Neymar training while the Ecuador travellers were given a rest.

Those who did not make the trip worked in the morning at CT Rei Pelé. The returning group were excused by the staff after more than six hours en route.

The delegation left Ambato by bus, spent around three hours to reach Quito, flew by charter to Guarulhos, then continued on to Santos.

Santos drew 0-0 with Macará on Thursday, a result that secured a place in the Copa Sul-Americana quarter-finals.

The travellers return to training on Saturday, when Cuca will oversee the final session before facing Mirassol.

Lucas Veríssimo remains a doubt as he nears the end of rehab following a left calf injury.

Santos have 25 points in 14th place in the Brasileiro, Mirassol sit 17th with 23.
