According to Diario Do Peixe, Santos have set out their plan for Thursday’s Copa Sudamericana tie with Macará and Sunday’s Brasileirão meeting with Mirassol, with Neymar expected to be rested against Macará.
Players were given Monday off following the 3-0 win over Vasco at São Januário on Sunday.
The squad reconvenes on Tuesday morning for training, then flies to Quito in the afternoon before a bus journey of about two and a half hours to Ambato, the venue at roughly 2,500 metres above sea level.
They will train in Ecuador on Wednesday ahead of Thursday’s match at Estadio Bellavista, 19:00 Brasília time. Having won the first leg 2-1, a draw will be enough to reach the quarter-finals. The team return to Brazil straight after the game.
Santos then host Mirassol at Vila Belmiro on Sunday at 18:30 in round 24 of the Brasileirão.
