Santos returned to work on Thursday at CT Rei Pelé after a 0-0 draw with Coritiba at Vila Belmiro in the first leg of the fifth phase of the Copa do Brasil. They have begun preparations to face Bahia on Saturday in Salvador.

According to Diario Do Peixe, Wednesday’s starters stayed indoors for recovery work, while the remaining players, including those not selected by Cuca, trained on the pitch.

Midfielder Gustavo Henrique, withdrawn in the first half with pain in his right leg, received treatment and will undergo tests to determine the extent of the problem. He was already suspended for the next round, and he is likely to miss further matches.

Goalkeeper Gabriel Brazão, excused earlier in the week following his father’s death, returned to CT Rei Pelé and trained. The club will leave it to him to decide whether he feels ready to feature on Saturday.

Forward Rony continues treatment for a sprained right ankle and is expected to remain unavailable. Midfielder Gabriel Menino is in physical transition after a muscle injury and has not yet been cleared to return.

Santos will also be without Igor Vinícius and Gabigol, who are suspended after receiving a third yellow card. Neymar will be rested by the coaching staff to ensure he is in better condition for Tuesday’s Copa Sul-Americana meeting with San Lorenzo.

The team train again on Friday morning, their final main session before facing Bahia.
