Santos ‘to sign’ Rony as Corinthians could raise bid before Flamengo clash | OneFootball

Santos have stepped in for Atlético-MG forward Rony, lining up a move after reaching an agreement with the club.

GE reports that Santos will pay three million euros, around R$ 19 million, plus bonuses, and have aligned a three-year contract with the player.

Even so, the club remain cautious, since Corinthians retain an interest and could raise their offer at any time to win the race.

Santos are working to announce Rony in the coming days. The forward is expected to bid farewell to Atlético-MG on Tuesday 27 and arrive in São Paulo by Friday 30.

Corinthians are therefore not expected to have Rony available for the Supercopa do Brasil against Flamengo. The final is scheduled for Sunday 1 at Mané Garrincha in Brasília, 16:00 Brasília time.
