Schalke ‘in talks’ with Brighton centre-half Igor | OneFootball

Schalke are in talks with Brighton & Hove Albion defender Igor over a move to the Bundesliga, with negotiations ongoing and no agreement in place.

Sky Germany reports that Schalke have made contact over a deal. Meanwhile, Transfermarkt.com reports that VfB Stuttgart and Cruzeiro have also been linked with the Brazilian.

The 28-year-old centre-half struggled for minutes under Fabian Hurzeler, playing only five games last season.

The outcome remains open and it is unclear whether he will move to Gelsenkirchen.

If terms can be agreed, Schalke would look to take Igor on loan with an option to buy.
