Ramovic's CRB progress to next round in cup competiton

Sead Ramovic's CR Belouizdad sealed their progression to the Algerian Cup Round of 16 after a thumping 5-1 win over Wb Ain Benian on Monday night.

The Chababists opened the scoring through Abdelraouf Benguit in the 36th minute, before Chouaib Keddad doubled the lead on the stroke of half time.

Benian pulled one back in the 57th minute, but Lofti Boussouar restored the two-goal cushion five minutes after the hour mark.

Boussouar completed his brace in the 89th minute, and went on to bag a hattrick in stoppage time to ensure a dominant victory over the second division side.

Ramovic and his charges will now face USM Alger in the next stage of the competition, as they look to clinch the Algerian Cup for the first time since the 2023/24 campaign.
