The 35-year-old has been one of England's leading players, and his experience at club and international level makes him a stellar signing for the Old Gold.

However, his switch to Molineux has not come without its drama, as the defender was reportedly close to tearing up his contract after the shocking news of Rob Edwards' sacking.

Now, Trippier's former boss at Burnley, Sean Dyche, has spoken publicly about the Englishman, and it will be music to Wolves' supporters' ears.

Trippier and Dyche worked together for three years at Turf Moor before the player went on to enjoy a stellar career with Tottenham, Atlético Madrid and Newcastle United.

As for Dyche, he has enjoyed a respectable managerial career in his own right, with spells at Everton and Nottingham Forest, although he is currently out of work having been sacked by the East Midlands club.

There was speculation that the right-back would return to Turf Moor with Kyle Walker seemingly keen on a move back to Sheffield United, but Trippier has since signed for Wolves on a free transfer.

Supporters will certainly be hyped to see what the 35-year-old can do in the second tier, as he produced some of the best deliveries in the Premier League.

Dyche was asked who the best player he ever worked with was while speaking on talkSPORT, and he was in no doubt when delivering his response.

"Trips, Kieran Trippier," he said.

"When I had him as a youngster, he was like a bit of a butterball, but you could tell his talent, incredibly talented, way, way better.

"I mean, don't get me wrong, people know he's talented, but he's a very, very good player.

"I always said he's got a right foot like lefties, you know how lefties always seemed to have that wonderful left foot about them.

"He's got, honestly, he's got every club in the bag in his right foot, he can do anything, yeah."

Trippier's skills are no secret, considering his overwhelming success across Europe and Championship clubs will have to find a way to stop him producing his best football.

While the 35-year-old's impact was not as strong last term due to the competition for places at Newcastle, his numbers over the years have been incredible.

The defender has notched 39 Premier League assists during his spells at various clubs, and despite being a bit-part player last term, he still showcased his crossing ability.

Trippier ranked in the top six percent of top-flight right-backs last season for successful crosses, while he ranked in the top 11 percent for accurate long balls, according to Fotmob.

Furthermore, the arrival of Raul Jimenez is sure to benefit Trippier as the Mexican's heading ability was highlighted last term as he ranked in the top 17 percent of forwards for headed shots.
