Leeds United midfielder Sean Longstaff has been voted the AMT Auto Player of the Month for September, following a series of standout performances in the Premier League.
Longstaff topped the fan poll with 45% of the vote, ahead of Gabriel Gudmundsson (13%), Anton Stach (11%), Noah Okafor (8%), and Joe Rodon (7%). He becomes the second recipient of the award this season, after Jayden Bogle claimed the honour in August.
The midfielder featured in all three of Leeds’ September fixtures - a 2-2 draw with Bournemouth, a 3-1 win over Wolves, and a 1-0 defeat to Fulham - contributing one goal and one assist, both in the draw at Elland Road.
Across the month, Longstaff recorded 167 touches, 93 passes, 31 defensive contributions, 23 duels won, 14 tackles, nine recoveries, seven chances created, five clearances, four shots, two blocks, and one interception. His performances highlighted his influence both in and out of possession as Leeds continued their strong start to the season.
Receiving the award, Longstaff thanked the fans, saying: "I'm over the moon. It's been a good month, playing in this team - there's a lot of people around me playing well, and I'm really enjoying it. It's always special when the fans acknowledge your work and the effort you're putting in. I've just got to make sure I keep doing that going forward."
