Senegal faces some major issues just weeks before the Africa Cup of Nations 2025 in Morocco.

With the 2025 AFCON set to kick off in Morocco in about two weeks, question marks remain over the squad for head coach Pape Thiaw. Several players who could make the final roster are still in doubt due to recent injuries. This is the case for Ismaïla Sarr, Habib Diarra, and Assane Diao.

According to Foot Mercato, coach Pape Thiaw can expect good news on all these fronts. For Ismaïla Sarr, while his club coach had previously suggested he would have to pull out, the winger should in fact be available. As for Habib Diarra, he is set to return to training soon and should be fit for the start of the tournament.
