However, the team is stretched thin by the strain of the Conference League, losing the quarter-final 3-0 to Crystal Palace on Thursday night at Selhurst Park.

The second leg is coming up this week, with Moise Kean, Fabiano Parisi, Marco Brescianini, Niccolò Fortini, Luca Lezzerini and Tariq Lamptey still out injured.

Roberto Piccoli therefore has to lead the attack once more, with Cher Ndour in midfield, Jacopo Fazzini and Jack Harrison in support.

Lazio had won three games in a row before their 1-1 draw with Parma, and are still aiming to close within a point of Bologna in eighth place.

Maurizio Sarri also has a lot of problems to deal with, because Daniel Maldini and Adam Marusic are the latest additions to the absentee list, joining Ivan Provedel, Mario Gila, Samuel Gigot and Nicolò Rovella.

The surprise is that Zaccagni, Toma Basic and Patric are thrown straight back into the starting XI after recovery, while Fisayo Dele-Bashiru is back on the bench.
