Shea Charles back in Southampton training as Leeds United interest continues | OneFootball

Shea Charles has returned to Southampton training amid continued Leeds United interest in the midfielder.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Leeds hope to sign the 22-year-old Northern Ireland international before their second season back in the Premier League, but Southampton have rejected approaches and the Whites are waiting.

Southampton resumed pre-season last week and Charles has rejoined the squad after an extended summer break.

He has been pictured taking part in sessions with team-mates.

Charles was granted extra time off following Northern Ireland’s June friendlies against Guinea and France.

The new Championship season starts over the weekend of Saturday, August 15, with Southampton scheduled to play a Carabao Cup first-round tie at Colchester United on Saturday, August 8.
