Shea Charles is excited about the Championship play-off final after firing Southampton past Middlesbrough, but the club await a Spygate ruling on 19 May.

Riley McGree opened the scoring on Tuesday night, Ross Stewart levelled on the stroke of half-time, then Charles curled the winner in the 116th minute of extra time. "Everyone's dead excited. It's such a massive win but we know deep down that we've got one more game to go, so we can really enjoy it tonight and then refocus when we're next in," he told BBC Radio Solent.

"The team have done such a good job - it's such a long season. We're really just focusing on the next game every time and then we'll see what happens."

The 22-year-old, a former Manchester City academy player, has delivered big moments, including the opener against Arsenal in the FA Cup that secured a famous quarter-final win, and a 96th-minute winner against Leicester City earlier in the campaign.

An independent hearing on 19 May will decide any punishment after it emerged a Saints analyst spied on a Boro training session, and possible sanctions, including expulsion or a points deduction, could yet cloud Wembley.
