Sheffield Wednesday hit with two further embargoes | OneFootball

Sheffield Wednesday's issues continue with the EFL placing the club under two further embargoes today.

The Owls had been handed a third embargo on Thursday and have now finished the week on five in total due to financial issues.

'Regulation 52.2.5 - Amounts due to another club' and 'Article 48.1 - Football Creditors' were added to the list of embargoes on the EFL website. Previous embargoes came from 'Future Financial Information', 'Secure Funding', and 'HMRC Reporting'.

Wednesday's crisisnow  continues under Dejphon Chansiri although manager Henrik Pedersen was able to lead the Owls to their first win of the league season last time out when they clinched a 2-0 victory over Portsmouth at Fratton Park.

A home clash awaits Wednesday tomorrow afternoon against Queens Park Rangers while the off-field problems continue to mount up.
