Sidny Cabral ‘to join’ Trabzonspor as €10m Benfica exit advances | OneFootball

Sidny Cabral’s move from Benfica to Trabzonspor is edging forward, with the clubs working through final details and exchanging paperwork. This comes despite the player saying on Sunday he wanted to remain at the Estádio da Luz.

Mais Futebol reports that the deal is worth around €10 million guaranteed, potentially rising to €12 million in add-ons. Benfica would bank that sum for the 23-year-old Cape Verde left-back.

On the player’s side, the defender is believed to have a contract offer on improved terms compared with his current deal, which could hasten a decision.

Cabral joined Benfica in January from Estrela da Amadora and was involved straight away under José Mourinho.

In recent months he lost ground in the first team, leaving the door open to a possible summer exit, with the process potentially concluded in the coming hours.
