Sunderland are assessing Simon Adingra’s future, with a permanent exit seen as likely this summer amid interest from multiple clubs.

Foot Mercato reports that AS Monaco want another loan after declining to trigger their option to buy the 24-year-old at the end of the 2025/26 season.

The clubs are linked through Juan Sartori, who sits on both boards and has family ties to Monaco’s ownership. Sunderland's preference is likely to be a permanent move this summer, which complicates Monaco's interest.

AS Roma and RB Leipzig, both set for the Champions League next season, are monitoring the situation. Newly-promoted Ipswich Town and Hull City, plus recently relegated West Ham United, are also interested.

West Ham have retained Nuno as head coach and are looking to strengthen following the bumper sale of Mateus Fernandes. Jarrod Bowen and Crysencio Summerville are also expected to draw interest during the summer window.

Adingra impressed in spells early last season but struggled to secure a regular place under Régis Le Bris.

Sunderland must now decide whether to cash in or sanction another loan to rebuild his confidence and value.

He is on a summer break after Ivory Coast were knocked out of the World Cup at the last 32 stage.
